This project is being made at low tide in and around the River Stour Estuary from the Cattawade (Suffolk) and Manningtree (Essex) sides.

This body of work revisits the source of my Edgelands project - Cattawade . It all began in Factory Lane. The contaminated land to the river side of the railway tracks is being returned to nature whilst the landward side is being converted to a railway service depot to discharge sewage from new trains yet to be delivered and service them in 14 sidings and a shed that will contain a wheel lathe to trim off the flat spots caused by poor railhead conditions.

The work is being made on an Ebony field camera using a 135mm Schneider lens and a Zenza Bronica SQAi 6x6 medium format camera. This preview shows large format work.
