I am shooting medium and large format images for my degree project. I am so glad that I got off to a good start back in the early autumn as just lately it has been a washout although nothing like the trauma suffered by people in the West Country and now the Thames Valley.
I recently expanded my large format equipment by picking up a Toyo 45A (Field Camera) and a Schneider 135mm APO 5.6 to give me some more latitude where I cannot lug the Toyo 45C Monorail. Ffordes gave excellent service as always but this morning I just had to test the camera to make sure everything was working so resorted to Fuji 100C aka Polaroid type instant film.
The light indoors was poor, really poor. Even the meter read out 90 seconds at F16 so I doubled it and eventually settled on 6 minutes at F16 to get this out of the can. I have never tried to work out reciprocity failure on Fuji Instant before but having instant results is the beauty of this medium. Long may it continue.

I hooked up a Metz 45CL to test the X sync on other subjects and all that was OK. Maybe next week I’ll use the saved negatives to demonstrate negative recovery from Polaroid type film to fellow students.
