In a recent meeting with partners discussing a forthcoming exhibition I showed a few test prints from my series Edgelands. These were 1×1.25m inkjet prints and I pointed out that the camera was about eight feet off the ground for these images. I often shoot my large format images of landscape features this way but my audience were struggling to grasp the idea of a viewpoint from that height. This image is one I recorded during my initial exercise last year. Maybe you can get an idea from this as why some of my images look the way they do?
