Fujifilm Student Awards 2013

I’ve been very quiet for the last week on account of a very bad attack of influenza. I’m not back up to speed yet and have had to take the week off from University to recuperate. I’ve been catching up on new assignment work and have taken up the option to enter the Fujifilm Student Awards “the Colour of…” competition in lieu of a collaboration exercise. The last assignment I did, I collaborated with a renowned graphic artist so I thought I’d stretch myself elsewhere this time.

The thought process has been more difficult than I imagined. Maybe that is due to the influenza but I had chosen a colour and before I got ill. I shot a test roll of Fuji manufactured, but not Professional film that I have yet to collect the developed film and assess the subject matter. That won’t happen until Monday now.

Today, I took delivery of 160NS in 120 and 5×4 formats plus half an acre of Fuji Crystal Archive. I get some 400H on Monday. I hope to be be fit enough to get out and shoot in earnest.

I’m going to try and shoot on the Fuji GW670III for starters but also on the Bronica SQAi. Should shooting conditions, and location permit, then out will come the Toyo View  but as most if not all of my subject matter will be on the street, this is a long shot.

I’ve never shot on Fuji film other than the Agfa Vista that they manufacture so it will be interesting to do side by side comparisons with Kodak Porta 160 and 400 in the Bronica.
