Pictures at an Exhibition (3)

The frozen and grubby white Ipswich streets coupled with a lack of technical staff at UCS this morning have conspired to force me to generate new work from my previous assignment.

Based on viewing rates generated by the computer program I used, I selected the top 18 images from both the Random Enigma and The Artist’s Enigma and photographed a tiny portion of the exhibit from the same distance as the numbers were. I made an adjustment for the mount and framing to ensure consistency. The exhibit number was layered with the image and then all 18  layered into one image. I then subdivided these into groups of 6, top, middle and lower.

Unlike the the original work where I layered visibility based on viewing percentage, I exercised my own aesthetic for this selection.

The next sequence is going down the layer stack with the equivalent groupings fro the Random and Artist’s views.

I’ve printed these off on A4 Hanhemule Gloss Art Fibre Warmtone as diptychs. They compare and contrast well with the 90cm square black and white originals.

Now I need a space to hang this collection. Any offers?
