Tomorrow, I shall be demonstrating the recovery of negatives from Fuji 100C – Polaroid type instant film – to fellow students at UCS. All I need is a handful of saved Fuji 100C ‘chemistry part’ of the instant film sandwich , a bottle of bleach ,masking tape, latex gloves, sheet of glass and a fitch and I’m there.
I’m hoping for a good turnout of curious students who will learn a new skill and contribute to our Lux Locus degree show fund. Last week I sat down with Melissa Belton and a handful of other keen students and we worked up a standard message that we sent out to photographers that we either know personally or have studied as part of our degree course. It was really pleasing for Mel to get 10 positive replies and offers of support. We had our share of negative responses but that is OK in my book.
We are planning a show second to none in June with back to back shows in Ipswich and London so please check out Lux Locus on Facebook and pledge some support. We have a Kickstarter page going live soon as well.
