Scanners and experiments with Ilford DDX

I ran out of Portra 400  the other morning and all I had left in my case was HP5+ or FP4+. The FP4+ had been loaded when I took delivery of the Toyo 45A and 135 mm lens. I went straight into full blown colour was was taken aback by how tack sharp that Schneider 135 is, leaving the FP4+as ballast in the case. Anyway, the first windless morning for months with a some light, thin white cloud masking  a BST sunrise giving me some leeway, shouted Black & White. I opted for the FP4+ on account of grain size but also decided I would use the bottle of DDX I had not tried yet.

The 6 negs came out of the MOD54 very nicely indeed so I scanned on an Imacon III  at UCS but somehow could not create anything larger than 66Mb. back home, the V750 fired up and 230Mb files came winging across.

Take a look at these two and try and work out which is which.
