Edgelands Exhibition – all crated up

Edgelands Transit cases

All the work is now ready and crated up for transfer to The Museum of East Anglian Life. Now that the artwork is done it is final editing of museum catalogues, labels etc. If anyone ever thought that we artists just make pictures all day then let this dissuade you. The rather excellent ‘What do Artists do all day’ on the BBC is well on message.

Last week saw Mrs O and I visiting some Suffolk Open Studios – Val Jones, Clare Kiely, Fabiana di Mascio and Emma Garnham. All these artists were a delight to talk to and their work an inspiration. On a sad note last week I heard of the death of Andrew Vass, someone I saw often whilst on campus. When we first moved into Ipswich he lived around the corner from us. He was always upbeat and a pleasure to talk to. His is a sad loss for both the art world and Ipswich.
