Lemon Drizzle cake, Bacon & Sainsbury

Today I had some Lemon Drizzle cake followed by Bacon. Lots of Bacon and quite a few extras on the plate such as Van Gogh, Picasso and Rembrandt to name a few.
Mrs O and I trundled up the A140 to the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and we were not disappointed, at least not with the Bacon. The cake was a tad magnolia if I can use a paint analogy, quite the opposite in fact from the gallery space where paint was, as always there, used boldly and to very good effect.
The curation of the show is without doubt first class. I had got used to seeing a few sides of Bacon on the each visit we have made over the years given Sainsubury’s patronage of the artist but with so many pieces brought over from Ireland and coupled with the inspiration he got from ‘Masters’ the hang was superlative.
Lunch was very good too followed by helping of Golding.
