It was a long day yesterday. I’m taking part in a longish project documenting the docklands of the Orwell with a number of of other photographers, commercial, professional and amateur. Ipswich wet dock has been recorded since the dawn of photography and this weekend saw the increasingly popular Ipswich Maritime Festival take place with thousands of punters taking to the attraction in and around the dock.
I was out with two members of the group putting our high level viewpoint into practice.
Somewhere quiet was needed for the doppelgangers of Last of The Summer Wine cast to take lunch.
Foggy and Clegg could have been anywhere as they tucked into their carry outs.
Digestion is eased with some light reading for Clegg who is a UCS alumni and getting used to new glasses is a struggle.
Finally the light arrived.
The last five minutes of the festival culminated in a marvellous fireworks display and spending nigh on twelve hours on site made the waiting worthwhile.
Well done “Compo”….
