Life has been hectic lately. I had huge amounts of other work going on in the background to do with a major re-branding of an organisation I am a director of that coincided with an international Agile Business Conference. Thankfully that transition took place seamlessly owing to the professionalism of all parties involved in producing the new site and the changeover of our existing site. It was strange watching someone else photograph the event though, having done that for the past 4 years but I suppose with all the back end stuff going on I would have been hard pressed to manage a changeover whilst wielding two pro-cameras and photographing hundreds of people over the two day event.
This image of yours truly manning our re-branded event stand at the Agile Business Conference 2016 the was made by Blendology who created our very interesting and effective electronic tagging cards that were used at the conference.
Whilst making sure all this was happening I got the teaser Facebook post from Matt at The Turning Gate with Backlight updates ahead of a WordPress add-on. Since Backlight was launched I have been an enthusiastic adopter and the missing piece for me was the seamless integration of my blog – this blog – styling-wise into the new product.
Well dear reader, you are looking at it now. I will, over the next few weeks tweak this and that but generally with maybe half a dozen clicks the new style/theme plugged in and was up there on the site for all to see.
Oh and the reason for the title of this post was that being autumn one of the best things I could find myself eating yesterday was an apple pie. Gladly, Mrs O is not a pastry fan, preferring the original apple. What’s not to like about that!
Today as they say ‘all is in apple pie order’.
