I went to a planning meeting today at Landguard. I collaborate with a group of nomadic photographers who exhibit the qualities of cats, and at times exhibit photographs.
About the only time we meet up is when there is tea, coffee, cake or bacon butties on offer, otherwise we just do our own thing.
This meeting was all about getting consensus for our next group show. We will be exhibiting during July 2018 in the Frame Workshop and Gallery in St Nicolas Street, Ipswich.
Why July 2018? Well, last year we exhibited during the inaugural Photoeast International photo festival although we were not a part of it and their next festival is in May/June 2018 so we are going to show in the afterglow of that event rather than try an vie for footfall during it.
Consensus was reached more or less immediately. The rest of the two hours was spent chewing the cud on all sorts of issues but before the cafe opened, there was the opportunity to make images with the benefit of a stiffening Northerly breeze. God, it was cold!
Not much was going on though, Felixstowe was bathed in complimentary light but traffic was indeed very light and the Stena Britannica very light indeed as she sailed out towards the North Sea – a Brexit effect already?
