Neglected viewpoint

There has been so much going on lately that I have not been yomping into UCS at my usual times. Over the last 3 years I have walked a more or less similar route into UCS and crossing over Bond Street, I always look back over my shoulder to see if the doors are open at Le Garagiste. When I was a lad there were garages and workshops all around my environs in Liverpool where a mechanic or two plied their trade to a loyal bunch of customers. Here, the specialty is Deux Chevaux. Now and again rare old Citroens turn up and 16th April was one such  day. Impossibly bright but the car was begging to be photographed. Whilst this old timer was basking in the sunshine, the bug eyed 2CV inside was having a full face-lift.

One of these days I’ll get around to shooting this location on large format Portra 400. I ought to get my finger out though as quite how long such a quirky little workshop will remain here is anyone’s guess.

These two were shot on the Nikon P6000 – a trusty little digital always in my schoolbag.
