Sign of the times

By chance I have taken a few strolls along the beach at Felixstowe with a few weeks separating the visits during June and July. I noticed that none of the ice cream huts were open and this was high summer, and mid-morning to midday.

The primary exercise was for me to push ISO 400 to ISO 1600. Little did I know then that it would act as an economic indicator for me at least. This aspect of photography Felixstowe High Summerintrigues me more and more. It makes me think more about our pioneering photographers and the recording of moments of time for future generations to ponder over. I may try and dig out archives from the same parts of the promenade to see how different it has been over the last 50 years.
