I have been entangled in the judiciary system now for nearly two weeks. I am not a willing participant, I am merely doing my duty. I have a background that exposed me to legal process from a very early age yet I am finding it difficult at times to grasp the rationale of the practices employed by the beneficiaries of the system. This image is a metaphor for my experiences of the last two weeks.
Knowing the ropes is as pertinent on a Thames barge as it is in a Court of Law. There are blocks and tackles in both environments and a certain amount of stringing along in one.

This is yet another image from my archive. There is really nothing of merit in it apart from a state of confusion to an uneducated eye in terms of physics or sailing. Applying it to my state of mind today is as good as exposing and making the image today. Others may care to challenge that notion but whilst studying photography, the use of Black an White was posited as being alien. Removal of colour whether by the use of a monochrome medium or by post production enhancement of a colour image removes a degree of emotion and introduces a level of abstraction. Much as I love good colour portraits, give me a well produced silver print any day for sheer power and communication without distraction.
